Hey there! Hello to everyone reading my blog! I’m sending a big hug your way. Here, you’ll find topics related to the English ab initio course in the Diploma Program. Hey, what’s new? I’m Alejandro Cortéz. I’m 17 years old, born and raised in La Mata de Santiago, Veraguas. I love doing any kind of physical activity, and I like talking a lot and learning about different topics. Since I was very young, I’ve been inerested in learning all kinds of things and trying new experiences. I bring this curiosity into school, and I try to keep learning and stay happy wherever I am. In elementary and middle school, I missed a lot of classes because I was sick often. But what matters is that I’m here now, I’m healthy, and I’m happy. What makes us who we are? Identity is the combination of physical appearance, personal attributes, relationships,  that allow us to recognize ourselves and be recognized as a unique and continuous person over time. It connects our present self with our past, giving us a sense of coherence and authenticity, allowing us to say: "this is who I am" Black Ethnicity Day at the ABPF This is one of many possible answers to that question about identity.
